About Kyle Kolding

Hello there, I'm Kyle Kolding, a filmmaker born and raised in Prineville, OR. I am best known for my contributions as a key grip, dolly grip, remote head technician and technocrane operator, with credits ranging from many independent features like Love in the Time of Monsters, Fun Mom Dinner, Debt Collectors, and Arctic Void, to unique television experiences like Time Traveling Bong, Shameless, and Criminal Minds: Evolutions. I’ve been an IATSE Member since 2013, with memberships in Local #80 and Local #600.

My passion for film sparked in high school, where I began making my own films. Early successes with animated short films at film festivals and an Emmy for technical excellence in broadcast propelled me into a productive film school experience. I continue to create short films such as The Snail, Morgan House Sits, The Hook and the award-winning Writer's Block, as well as writing the award-winning feature script Black Cat Meow.

I hope to keep getting opportunities to create and share my vision; it’s been a blast so far! There are multiple projects I’ve got that have languished in post-production for far too long, and I plan on sharing each one in due time.

Get in touch.
