2024 Wrap-Up: Closing One Chapter, Opening Another

Hey everyone,

As 2024 comes to a close, so too do my projects Writer’s Block and Black Cat Meow. It’s been an incredible journey seeing both of these stories find recognition on the festival circuit, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the support along the way.

Festival Highlights

Writer’s Block

  • WideScreen Film & Music Video Festival (Toronto, Canada) – Quarter-Finalist in the Shorts Category

Black Cat Meow

  • Zed Fest Film Festival – Honorable Mention

  • Los Angeles Crime and Horror Film Festival – Semi-Finalist

It’s always an honor to have my work recognized, especially when my projects don’t fit neatly into any one genre. Black Cat Meow is a comedy first, but its crime and horror elements made it a unique fit for genre festivals. Seeing it make an impact in those spaces has been incredibly rewarding.

What’s Next?

As these projects reach the end of their festival runs, I’m excited for the next steps:

  • Writer’s Block will have an online premiere in the near future—stay tuned for details.

  • Black Cat Meow is now available for potential buyers, and I’m looking forward to seeing where it lands.

  • More short films are on the way—new stories, new ideas, and plenty of weirdness.

Thank you all for your continued support. 2024 was a huge step forward, and I can’t wait to share what’s next.

See you in 2025!

—Kyle
